Basic Spanish Reading course is designed to build proficiency in the Spanish language at the basic level as well as appreciation and understanding for the Hispanic cultures and their growing importance in the world. This elementary level and its next sequences are designed to stress the features of the Spanish needed for everyday communication and to apply them immediately to realistic settings around the world.
Though the course will give particular attention on the development of reading skills, a balanced emphasis on listening, speaking and writing skills will also be provided.

Course Objectives/Goals：This course aims at helping students develop the necessary reading skills to communicate proficiently in Spanish and to function effectively within the culture in real-life situations at an intermediate level.
Learning Outcomes：Through this course, students are expected to obtain the level of A1 according to CEF (Common European Framework of Reference for Language).
