In academia, strategy is the study of achieving superior performance under competition. In practice, strategy consists of a set of decisions and activities that guide an organization's long-term development. The main objective of this seminar is to introduce doctoral students to the fundamental theories and issues in strategic management research. Each session will center around two assigned papers, which students are encouraged to read independently prior to the session. After completing the course, students will acquire a basic understanding of the key theoretical perspectives in the field of strategic management and be able to apply them in their research endeavors.
