14:00- 五樓創客中心 Geopolitics Professor Chia- This short course introduces students to the concept of geopolitics
17:00 5F Maker Space   Yi Lee and its influence on the technology sector, especially the
semiconductor industry. We will go through different schools and
theories of geopolitics, and will cover a variety of related issues,
including energy, trade, investment, and great power competition.
While the focus is on global geopolitics, special attention will be
paid to Asia and Taiwan—the global semiconductor
manufacturing hub. This six-hour course will be divided into two
parts: In the first half, we will discuss the theory and different
dimensions of geopolitics, and students will work in groups to
apply the theory to the issues/areas of their own choice. In the
second half, we will focus on geopolitics and the impact on the
semiconductor industry in Taiwan. Students will work on risk
analysis to assess different scenarios in which the industry might
              be impacted.
