本課程由王經仁老師與叢培臻合授，課程內容包括從伊斯蘭蒙昧時期到現代時期阿拉伯文學的歷史發展與作品介紹。王老師負責第1-6周，現代文學的部分；叢老師則教授7-16周，古典文學的部分。本課程的設計涵蓋阿拉伯文學發展與演進的歷史，以及原典文學作品的閱讀與賞析，包含詩歌、散文等不同的文類。上課的方式由老師講述文學歷史的演進，文學作品的部分，則在課堂當中研讀與討論。
能力項目說明
本課程的目標在提供阿語系三、四年級的同學了解阿拉伯文學的歷史以及增進文學作品閱讀賞析的能力。在學習本課程後，學生對阿拉伯文學的一千多年的歷史有基本的認識，同時對於不同時期的文學作品和文類，有基本的閱讀及賞析的能力。
