This course delves into the fascinating realm of non-literal and non-at-issue meaning, exploring how speakers comprehend the deeper implications of utterances beyond their literal interpretation during everyday conversations. Throughout the course, students will be exposed to various phenomena in experimental pragmatics, providing them with invaluable insights into how meaning is enriched and interpreted in real-life communication.
