本課程教授傳播領域所使用的社會科學研究方法。透過本課程,學生將學習如何閱讀和批判性分析研究報告、提出和檢驗與傳播相關的假設、設計研究和進行研究報告以及對資料集進行統計分析。本課程較為著重量化研究方法,學生需要在本學期內以小組方式完成一個傳播研究論文。
能力項目說明
(1)思考與理解傳播學作為一門社會科學的理論與研究方法之間的關係;
(2)培養進行傳播研究所需的能力;
(3) 培養以口頭和書面形式向非專業受眾清晰傳達傳播研究成果的能力;
(4) 成為聰明的學術圈的消費者,能夠閱讀、理解、解釋和批判性地評估學術期刊中的研究。
