此堂課採全英語授課,針對虛擬實境以及元宇宙,進行分析以及介紹,並從不同面向以及角度,探討虛擬實境可以應用的面向,同時也探討相關的商業機會。主題將涵蓋虛擬實境在學術上的創新應用、業界的產業應用、行銷品牌的應用、以及NFT、與虛擬遊樂園等面向。
This course is conducted entirely in English and focuses on the analysis and introduction of virtual reality and the metaverse. It explores the various dimensions and perspectives of virtual reality applications, as well as the associated business opportunities. The topics covered will include innovative academic applications of virtual reality, industry applications, marketing and branding applications, as well as aspects such as NFT and virtual amusement parks.

What is metaverse? Let’s have an overview of different perspectives on metaverse. We will be discussing metaverse from VR, AR, Web 3, and the virtual amusement park. |

We will learn the three unique affordances of VR by Slater (2007) and how these three affordances can be employed for designing effective VR content for business opportunity. We will also cover innovative research of Proteus effect in academic literature to understand how virtual body illusion can alter our self-concept for social good. |
