本課程的起點是Hotelling (1929)模型,他探討雙占廠商如何在一直線市場進行區位與價格競爭,由於Hotelling 錯誤地得到廠商會聚集在市場中央的結果,導致d’Aspremont et al. (1979) 與一系列的論文嘗試解決Hotelling 均衡解的問題,或是將Hotelling 模型修改假設之後應用到不同領域,如產品差異化,或是政黨與媒體競爭的議題。本課程將著重在數十篇重要文獻之詳細解構,使學生可以徹底瞭解文章的重要性與如何用數學軟體重建文章的數學模型,並進而模仿改良完成自己的學期報告。
能力項目說明
本課程將使修課學生對於區域經濟學的發展脈絡有初步的認識,並對徹底瞭解其中的部分重要文獻之數學模型,以期能從中模仿並學習自行建構簡單的模型。
