課程進度：

     本課程將從觀念演進和學派分化的雙重原則，在一個學期內引導同學們建立社會理論的歷史地圖，進而指認社會的未來走向。以脈絡言，前半學期回顧馬克思、韋伯和涂爾幹的古典三家；後半學期追蹤涂爾幹和馬克思主義、後結構和後現代主義的當代學派。照主題看，古典社會是神聖約束世俗的制度化社會，建立在勞動和交換、工作和官僚、連帶和歡騰的權威上；當代社會是科技模控身心的個體化生活，維持在贈予和耗費、矛盾和複製、規訓和區別的霸權中。
