本課程希望運用一個學期的討論課程，讓修習者熟悉國內外選民行為研究的相關主題，並使用臺灣選舉研究的調查資料，完成一篇學術論文。
能力項目說明
本課程旨在運用「臺灣選舉與民主化調查」(TEDS)的歷年資料並針對選民行為研究的重要主題，說明當前選民行為研究的重要理論、相關研究途徑以及可運用的調查研究資料，協助修課同學熟悉此一領域的重要文獻與資料，並進一步運用國內外現有的實際調查研究資料，瞭解重要概念的測量，並掌握學術研究寫作之基本規範。

本課程成績評定的方式分為三部分：
1. 隨堂報告、課堂參與以及對課程討論的貢獻度40%;
2. 三個小型「讀書心得與研究設計」報告30%;
3. 期末報告30％。
隨堂報告為每位同學依照當週的每一篇指定讀物提出大約一頁的心得摘要以及思考未來具有研究價值與完成潛力的研究問題，供隨堂討論。所有心得摘要與研究問題，須自行完成而不得有任何抄襲、透過軟體翻譯或是其他違反學術倫理的情事，且須於上課當週星期一早上8:00之前，寄達授課老師電子信箱。上課時，授課老師將隨機指定同學報告當週指定的課程內容，或以上課隨堂小考，瞭解同學對課程內容的理解程度。課堂參與則由所有同學提出各自的研究問題、觀點以及交換心得。對討論的貢獻度則視參與者對指定文獻的熟悉程度以及提出意見與交換心得的質與量。
學期中須繳交三份小型「讀書心得與研究設計」報告，具體內容在繳交前兩週會說明，一般依照過去幾週上課內容以及針對該相關內容可能提出的研究問題，整理成心得報告以及研究設計，評分標準將於講解報告要求時一併說明。在2025/01/10（五）需繳交一份期末報告。報告的要求與評分方式，將於課堂上宣布。報告請於上述日期當天中午12點之前繳交。
隨堂報告、小型「讀書心得與研究設計」報告以及期末報告遲交者，每遲交一天，扣該次報告成績10%，直至扣完分數為止。所有書面資料請儘可能以雙面或是回收紙印刷，報告的「內容」為唯一評分標準，請問過度「包裝」，以節省資源。報告的內容須符合學術倫理，若有一稿兩用、抄襲或是剽竊等情事，該生本科學期成績將以零分計算。所有其他同學在課堂提出的報告與研究問題，係其智慧財產，參與上課同學應予以尊重。
