博物館學Museology是以蒐藏品為核心，博物館以蒐藏品為核心，圍繞著蒐藏品作為一種「物」出發，進一步透過展覽、說明與舉辦活動，以博物館為載體與媒介，將蒐藏品連結到人、社區與社會，也就是建立起博物館與文化資產的關聯性。在這個連結的過程中，如何將蒐藏品這個「物」原本所處的文化脈絡，藉由博物館的展示與說明，重新被賦予一個當代社會的脈絡，與觀眾、社區與社會連結在一起。其中，最為核心的問題就是，這些蒐藏品作為「物」，原本所處的文化脈絡是什麼？其「社會生命史」又是什麼？本課程由四個部分展開：
第一單元、博物館的歷史與發展
第二單元、博物館與物質文化研究(Material Culture Studies)
第三單元、批判的文化遺產研究：博物館化(museumification)/遺產化(heritagization)的現象與議題
第四單元、博物館人類學（Museum Anthropology）視野下的族群文化

博物館作為一個當代公共知識生產的機構，如何組織、描述並說明這些藏品複雜且豐富的背景，其實也就是一個描述與說明何謂文化資產的過程。關於不同社會中「物」與人的關係，一直是人類學研究中物質文化領域最為重視的關懷。對人類學的物質文化研究有所掌握，將能夠從不同於當代社會的文化視野來重新思考、描述、說明博物館蒐藏品作為「物」應該如何被說明、不同的文化資產將可以如何展示以及連結到當代社會。

彈性授課將會進行臺灣數位人文相關領域的博物館參訪，並計劃安排講座和策展人導覽，此兩項後續會要求學生參訪心得報告，並適度納入評分考量。 |
1. 本課程評分標準為：平時成績45﹪(含出缺勤、課堂參與討論、課堂報告)、書面報告55﹪。自第二週上課起，均會安排同學依課程進度依序進行資料閱讀的口頭報告和討論
2. 本課程期末須繳交3000字以上書面報告一份，題目需先與授課教師討論。書面報告需符合正式期刊論文格式 (含正文、註釋或參考書目)，且不得以其他課程報告或個人曾發表過之文章充當期末報告。
