本課程將探討呼吸和氣氛在美學理論和實踐中的跨學科和跨文化潛力。呼吸和氛圍是當代歐陸哲學的重要課題，本課程試圖通過這兩個概念與中國文學及哲學中「氣」的含義相聯系，以便展開一場跨文化的哲學對話。人類通過呼吸接觸世界，也被世界所接觸，甚至可以說，呼吸比凝視更根本。在當代哲學中，馬丁-海德格爾（Martin Heidegger）、赫爾曼-施密茨（Hermann Schmitz）、格諾特-伯姆（Gernot Böhme）和盧斯-伊里格拉伊（Luce Irigaray）等人已經開啟了與東方哲學和文化的對話，從根本上挑戰了歐洲傳統對人類生活和世界的傳統看法。本課程包括許多國際講者（Lenart Škof, Francesca Raimondi, Selusi Ambrogio, Hisayama Yuho等），其目的乃是對「氣」等傳統哲學概念進行批判性的哲學分析，以便發展以呼吸、氣氛和力量為參照的美學氣論 。
本課程為密集課程，非一學期18堂課的常規堂數。學生也將於10月1日中研院的相關會議發表課程心得。

能力項目說明
對於當代歐陸哲學以及國際漢學獲得獲得深入理解；探討跨文化哲學若干核心議題；釐清當代美學的核心概念。
