磁共振影像(MRI)的產生,來自核磁共振的物理現象, MRI 具有良好的軟組織對比以及不斷翻新的取像技術,因而成為現今醫用影像中最具潛力的非侵入性診斷工具之一。本課程主要從基本磁共振物理現象開始,經由嚴謹的理論推導,解釋一般磁共振影像的原理,之後介紹各種磁共振影像的應用以對照原理。
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) phenomena is the fundamental of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Among all non invasive diagnosis tools MRI is particularly potential in exhibiting very good soft tissue contrast. In addition many new MRI methodologies have been developed. This course starts from the basic MR physics and NMR theory to explain the generation of MRI. Then we will introduce some biomedical applications of MRI.

修習此課程的學生將學習到基本磁共振與成像原理,並將了解此技術在各種不同領域上的應用,透過主題報告,學生將選擇自己有興趣MRI領域相關的研究論文,並透過口頭報告分享研究論文內容。
Students are expected to obtain basic knowledge of the NMR phenomena and imaging principles, and also know the applications of MRI on different categories of fields. In Term project, students will read one or several research articles in the MRI related field and give a oral presentation.
