El presente curso continuará desarrollando la capacidad de los estudiantes para comunicarse en español de manera productiva, efectiva y espontánea en todas las situaciones del entorno profesional y académico, así como en situaciones que involucren negociación.
El curso está basado en los fundamentos adquiridos en el anterior semestre y preparará a los estudiantes para comunicarse de manera efectiva cuando estos requieran trabajar con otras personas, tanto en proyectos académicos como profesionales. También enseñará a los estudiantes a adaptar su registro a diferentes contextos y situaciones.

The oral tests are individual. Their main objective is to assess the student’s communicative ability. The teacher will ask the students 5 to 10 questions and assign a grade to each answer according to the following criteria.

9 – 10 |
Clear pronunciation. The student speaks almost without pauses. |
The student uses an adequate vocabulary. |
The student’s syntax is correct. He may make some mistakes sporadically. |
The student understands the interlocutor or asks for an explanation when not sure. |

6 – 8 |
Mostly clear pronunciation, but the interlocutor needs to make some effort to understand. The student speaks with several pauses. |
The student uses an adequate vocabulary but sometimes chooses the wrong word. |
The student’s syntax is mostly correct. He doesn’t control very well the verb conjugation and the gender and number correspondence between nouns and other words. |
The student mostly understands the interlocutor, but there might be some confusion. |

4 – 5 |
Mostly unclear pronunciation, the interlocutor doesn’t understand most of the student’s speech. The student speaks with long pauses. |
The student only uses the correct word sporadically. |
The student’s syntax is not correct. Therefore, the interlocutor doesn’t understand very well what the student says. |
The student has trouble understanding the interlocutor. |
