Number of Students
This course will continue developing students' ability to communicate and express themselves in written form. It will help students acquire the fundamentals of level B1 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The course will teach the principles of written compositions, the differences between diverse genres of texts, and the various tools authors use to achieve cohesiveness and contrast.

At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- use discourse markers and sentence connectors in an appropriate way
- use the appropriate vocabulary to express their ideas
- structure their texts properly
- recognize how Spanish idioms differ from or are similar to English idioms
- use collocates, synonyms, and antonyms to achieve cohesiveness and contrast
- correct and edit their own texts
