此課程預設學生具備阿拉伯語的中級程度，適合大三以上的學生選讀。每堂課的前半段介紹應用文的格式，剩下的時間則聚焦翻譯技巧和實踐。進行流程採課前聆聽內容、課中口譯實踐、課後筆譯實踐及應用文習作的方式，並於每節課輔以適當的翻譯技巧提示，藉此增進學習者的雙語互譯能力。由聆聽的素材中提煉出當周的教學主題，並突出兩種語言的差異，增強學生對兩種語言的應用能力。
