IS (Information Systems) project has been a critical management target, and it covers various research topics and problems. In viewing that many managers and scholars are concerned with the issues of mitigating IS project’s uncertainties, this course will be focused on introducing to our students the application of specific knowledge in the related literature and pragmatic techniques or solutions to clarify and address such issues.

This course aims to bring to our students a suitable set of learning objectives and outcomes
including but not limited to what follows: 1) learning IS project strategic goal, estimation, prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio management or so forth., 2) learning IS project risk identification and mitigation, development monitoring or evaluation, problem-solving, and so forth., 3) learning IS project team communication, leadership, stakeholder, governance, collaboration, integration, procurement, sourcing, and so forth, and 4) learning the real-world solutions, practical approaches, and so forth.

1. GRADE DISTRIBUTION:
Participation (30%) and Group assignment/Project (70%)
2. CONTRIBUTION EVALUATION:
One overarching component of this course is for students to complete group or team assignments. Students will work in groups and should be aware that there are presentations, reports, etc., as the course progresses. Moreover, this course expects the highest level of class participation. Although attendance is not compulsory, students are responsible for all material and topics discussed if they miss any class. Besides, this course expects students to complete the assigned readings before class.
