In this course, some results from probability theory related to some topics introduced in Mathematical Statistics (I) and (II) will be introduced. The focus will be on topics related to density functions and likelihood estimation.

The objective of this course is to introduce some results from probability theory related to some topics introduced in Mathematical Statistics (I) and (II). In particular, the definition of probabilty density functions with respect to a given measure will be introduced, and some properties of integration with respect to a given measure will also be introduced. Students are expected to be able to write down the likelihood functions based on densities with respect to a given measure and perform maximum likelihood estimation and Bayesian estimation accordingly.
