課程簡介Course Description

研究方法複雜多樣,不乏不被歸類為量化、卻也不盡然歸屬質化之取徑,學科間亦相互參照。但目前人文與社會科學研究方法依問題意識、資料性質、分析邏輯,概分為質化與量化,以彰顯不同典範特長,且針對各自限制與發展深入探討。本課程聚焦質化範疇,以社會學、人類學常用之田野調查、民族誌方法論為主,並回應「發展研究」(Development Studies)領域跨學科(inter-disciplinary)、乃至科際整合(trans-disciplinary)關懷,借鏡政治學、歷史學、文化研究、地理學觀點,協助學生完整理解不同領域共同撐起之研究方法,並思考各自研究方向。將藉由介紹質性研究法知識論、本體論、存在論及當代應用、思辨,使學生具備獨立思考、執行研究能力,並得以將習得觀點、方法轉化為發現與解決問題之技藝(transferable skill)。本課程設計為理論與實作並進,學生除閱讀文獻,亦需學習撰寫研究計畫(research proposal)、進行初步資料蒐集,並於學期末產出精簡版。
