This is a graduate seminar course focusing on the introduction of ethnographic methods. The course will be taught in English and Chinese.
「民族誌研究方法」（民族學方法）（下）延續上學期的課程設計，課程著重於民族誌田野資料分析方法、跨領域的質性研究方法，包括：文本分析、歷史研究方法、語料分析、敘事分析、論述分析、批判論述分析、多模態分析、自我民族誌。並設計個人田野的機會，讓碩士班學生對如何進行田野工作有實際操作和練習的機會，以訓練他們能獨立進行後續個人論文田野研究的能力。下學期課程並會探討當代民族誌方法之反思、困境和挑戰，說明當代民族誌研究者對於研究工作的反身性、以及如何面對民族誌研究的挑戰和困境。
本課程的另一目標是讓學生於修習上下學期的課程後，完成完整版本「個人研究計畫書」，內容需包含：研究目的、問題意識、研究問題、文獻回顧、研究對象、研究方法、田調設計的規劃和安排。
下學期課程分成四個部分：
第一部分：田野叫調查和資料收集
第二部分：資料分析方法和練習
第三部分：當代民族誌選讀和民族誌寫作
第四部分：個人研究計畫和田野成果發表
