The English Teaching Practice course is designed to provide aspiring teachers and educators with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL) or foreign language (EFL). Students will be required to take two exams, give two presentations with lesson plans attached, and write two to three term papers. All enrolled students are encouraged to attend class observation in junior or senior high schools. Active class participation is necessary. Students are expected to have done the assigned readings before coming to class and give their thoughts during class discussion. Grade for the course will be computed as follows: (i) exam, 40%, (ii) oral presentation: 40%, and (iii) class participation and discussion: 20%
