課程簡介Course Description

This graduate course on the culture of Central Asian Turkic peoples aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the region. Through a multidisciplinary approach, students will explore topics such as language, literature, folklore, music, art, cuisine, religion, and social issues, among others. They will examine the historical, political, and social contexts that have shaped the region's culture and identity, as well as the ways in which cultural traditions have evolved and adapted over time. Additionally, students will gain insights into contemporary issues affecting the region and explore efforts to preserve and promote its cultural heritage. The course aims to equip students with a nuanced and comprehensive understanding of Central Asia and its peoples.

    Course Objectives:

    • To provide students with an in-depth understanding of the cultural heritage of Central Asian Turkic peoples

    • Students will be able to critically analyze and interpret cultural texts, such as literature, music, and art, from Central Asia
