課程簡介Course Description

This course is aimed at helping students develop the ability to understand, evaluate, and comment on real news as presented in actual newspapers and broadcasting companies. The course will first introduce the most important news outlets from Spain and Latin America. Additionally, it will teach students how to synthesize the content of articles. It will also help students identify their fields of interest, and finally, it will teach students how to structure and redact a news article.

    At the end of the course, students will be able to:

    - understand the gist of a news article (presented in written form)

    - understand the gist of a news report (presented in oral form)

    - evaluate the quality of an article

    - synthesize the content of an article or a report

    - redact a short article about a theme they are interested on
