此課程將討論媒介與文化技術的理論。媒介學(Medienwissenschaft)對於文化技術(Kulturtechnik)的關注,主要在反省西方的人文研究(humanities)所忽略的媒介與技術。在媒介學的觀點下,所有文化所建立起的「概念」,不可能只從觀念上去定義,而更是必須藉著技術與媒介的操演機制(operation)才能出現。此課程將閱讀許多媒介與文化技術的研究,從「媒介」與「技術」作為「中介者」的意義出發,探問記寫、圖像等媒介與技術,是怎麼透過不同的操演機制,建立起文化的知識。

(3) 獨立以媒介與文化技術的理論觀點,完成一篇小型研究論文
