Course Outline:
The course aims to enhance students’ oral communication skills in business contexts and professional settings. It has four parts. Part one is to lead students to the formation of business by researching brand stories and establishing their own. Part two focuses on types of business communication and the business cultures around the world. Part three features debating skills both for business contexts and general occasions. The last part of the semester is the weekly business news review & small talk practice. The former aims to develop and raise students’ business awareness through weekly business news review and their ability to engage in discussions of current business issues; the latter will provide the practice of starting a conversation freely and immediately.
