本課程內容之設計係以介紹政治經濟學基本理論架構之認識為主，輔之以議題應用，著重培養同學理論思考能力，並將之應用於公共行政的相關研究議題之上。同時幫助學習公共行政領域之同學，能以不同的觀察視野及角度，思考公共行政環境中之相關政治議題或現象。
The design of the course content is mainly to introduce the understanding of the basic theoretical framework of political economics, supplemented by topic application, focusing on cultivating students' theoretical thinking ability and applying it to related research topics of public administration. At the same time, it helps students studying the field of public administration to think about relevant political issues or phenomena in the public administration environment from different perspectives and angles of observation.

本課程之教學宗旨在於介紹政治經濟學之起源、演進發展及基本概念，以現代各國各種實際議題事件或現象為例，解釋並反思造成經濟現象及公共政策之政治系絡。以考試及專題報告方式為評量工具，幫助同學具備規劃生涯發展路徑、有效運用各項學習資源、深度閱讀及團隊合作與專題製作能力。
The teaching purpose of this course is to introduce the origin, evolution and development and basic concepts of political economy, and to explain and reflect on the political connections that lead to economic phenomena and public policies by taking various practical issues or phenomena in modern countries as examples. Using examinations and special reports as evaluation tools, it helps students to plan career development paths, effectively use various learning resources, in-depth reading, teamwork and project production skills.
