The main themes to be discussed include 1) In conversation with children, 2) Starting on language: Perception, 3) Early words, 4) Sounds in words: Production, 5) Words and meanings, 6) First combinations, first constructions, 7) Adding complexity within clauses, 8) Combining clauses: More complex constructions, 9) Honing conversational skills, 10) Doing things with language, and 11) Acquisition and change.
