課程簡介Course Description

本課程會介紹華語的句法特性以及近期關於華語主要語句結構(如論元結構、主題結構、關係子句、把字句、被字句等)的句法研究。本課程會適時結合一些當代華語的相關語言研究內容,幫助學生掌握華語語法的研究脈絡,同時也會不時以中英對比的方式 如詞彙形式、語法差異 進行不同語言之間的比較與說明,幫助學生建立語法本質的概念、掌握華語語法的特殊性以及培養學生具有能力洞察不同語言之間的語法差異,以期未來能反饋到華語教學實務上。

 

 

This course introduces the recent studies on the syntactic properties of Chinese grammar and major constructions in Mandarin Chinese. This course provides a foundation of linguistic knowledge for students to engage in teaching Chinese as a second language and conducting scientific studies on Chinese in the future. It also helps students understand different aspects of Chinese grammar and provides an opportunity for students to practice applying the learned syntactic concepts in the teaching process.

    Course Objectives

    This course introduces the recent studies on the syntactic properties of Chinese grammar and major constructions in Mandarin Chinese. This course provides a foundation of linguistic knowledge for students to engage in teaching Chinese as a second language and conducting scientific studies on Chinese in the future. It also helps students understand different aspects of Chinese grammar and enhance their logical ability and critical thinking through observation, discussion, and teaching of grammar. By the end of this course, students are expected to be able to (a) elaborate on the syntactic features of Chinese grammar; (b) discern syntactic category in Chinese vs. English, with respect to their morphological components and grammatical function; (c) make illustrations with syntactic constructions in Chinese; (d) demonstrate the ability in teaching Chinese grammar.
