本課程探討希臘化世界當中宗教向度的發展，其如何為亞歷山大大帝「世界一家」的願景所型塑，又不同地區的宗教及思想之間產生了怎樣的互動與融合。希臘化宗教史不僅在歷史研究上自有意趣，亦是了解早期基督宗教史的重要脈絡。本課程適合對西方古代宗教史、早期基督宗教史有興趣的同學修習。
能力項目說明
1. 了解希臘化時代的各種宗教。
2. 學習研讀與分析史料作品，並能查找相關的學者文獻，掌握重要學者的觀點。
3. 培養良好的表達能力：學習精確地把握閱讀之重點內容，並能善加組織與整合，據此給予清晰的口頭報告。
4. 訓練學術書寫能力：練習論文正文與註腳之書寫，並避免瓢竊（plagiarism）。

（1）原則上，本課程鼓勵同學增進英文資料的閱讀能力。如需中文資料輔助，可參考Everett Ferguson, Backgrounds of Early Christianity (Grand Rapids, Mich.: William B. Eerdmans Pub., c2003)之中譯本：福格森 (Ferguson, Everett)著 ，李丽书译，《古希臘-羅馬文明 : 社會.思想和文化 :早期基督教背景》，上海市 : 華東師範大學, 2012。
（2）基本閱讀資料為提供背景知識參考之用，進階閱讀資料一為必讀且須精讀，進階閱讀資料二則可視學生個人的能力、興趣、與時間，量力而為。老師在課堂上會從旁協助與講解。

無故缺席一次扣總分三分。缺席三次（含）以上者，即視同棄修（亦即，請假以兩次為限，並請假須按照學校程序辦理）。
一、事前閱讀：學生應於每次上課前閱讀當週的指定文獻，並書寫摘要，同時提出自己的觀察與問題，以利課堂討論。本學期須繳交兩次反思書面報告（reflection paper），學生每週所寫之摘要可作為反思書面報告的基礎，以顯現學習過程中自己如何消化、組織、整合、延伸課程的學習內容。
二、課堂報告與討論：課堂上學生將輪流導讀指定文獻（可配合使用ppt或者大綱），並積極參與討論。
三、期末報告：學生於期末需撰寫書面報告（題目請與老師討論，應符合學術論文寫作格式），並據此在期末作口頭報告，以俾獲得回饋，改進最後成果。
