This course is designed to introduce the benefits and methods of interdisciplinary study and research. This course uses multiple and interrelated perspectives to identify and understand social problems. Students will be guided through the process by learning and using critical thinking, problem identification, and problem-solving skills in order to find creative policy approaches through the integration of differing perspectives.
* First Day Attendance is required.
This course is highly participatory, integrative, and collaborative. This course is designed as project-based learning, and all the assignments are designed to guide students to complete your final project with your critical thinking, problem identification, and problem-solving skills.

This course is designed to provide perspectives and skills for interdisciplinary study and research. It provides conceptual and analytic tools to explore the social, cultural, political and economic dimensions of our society through disciplinary perspectives. Students will also learn how to apply interdisciplinary concepts and skills in exploring social science and social policy in order to find creative policy approaches to problem identification and problem solving through the integration of differing perspectives.
At the completion of this course, students will be able to:
Practice collaborative, interdisciplinary approaches to problem identification and disciplinary integration.
