College English I/II is a two-semester course, designed to develop in students the abilities and attitudes to engage critically with the world. These abilities and attitudes include, in particular, English language proficiency and cultural awareness. This College English I course will have an emphasis on fostering students' confidence in communicating their thoughts in English in both oral and written forms. It will also focus on enhancing students' understanding of the differences between themselves and people from other cultures.
