This course will be taught in English. This will be a learner-oriented course. The teacher will evaluate students' needs and insufficiency to design and provide appropriate teaching methods and learning materials. This course will build proficiency in reading, listening, speaking and writing through engaging themes and authentic materials. Students are required to participate in all activities in the class.

This 4-skill integrated course aims to arouse students’ interest in English learning and improve their English proficiency. Besides, this course equips students with learning skills and strategies in English and increases students’ cross-cultural awareness as well.
This course will help students to
--understand casual conversation and issue relevant to teaching materials
--build speaking skills to participate in discussions and express opinions
--develop effective reading strategies
--write their ideas and supportive paragraphs

15% of your grade will come from your attendance and punctuality in the classes. If you are absent without excuses, your final grade will be deducted 3 points every time. Being on time is also important in this class. Students who are always late have no chance to get good grades at the end of the semester.
45% of your grade will come from your homework, quizzes, attitude towards this course, and the participation in the class. Quizzes cannot be made up if missed. Late assignments will not be accepted. Being active will help you get good evaluation.
20% of your grade will be based on the Midterm Exam.
20% of your grade will be based on the Final Presentation.
